Calibrating the instrument000

Motion design & creative technology

We buildthe web thatshouldn'texist

Six people. One shared obsession: interfaces that behave like instruments — responsive to touch, alive without being asked, and fast enough that nobody notices how hard that was.

(02) The studio

Nobody remembers a moodboard.

Most studios hand you a beautiful file and wish you luck. We think that is the easy half. The hard half is the seventeenth pass on an easing curve at 11pm, the frame budget on a four-year-old Android, the focus ring nobody will notice until the one person who needs it does.

So we do both halves. The people who draw it are the people who ship it — six of us, no account layer, no handoff, no telephone game. When we say a page will feel like this, that is a promise about the built thing, not about a picture of it.

We take four projects a year. That number is not a flex; it is the only way the work stays this specific.

If it can be done with a video and a fade, we are the wrong studio.

    Sportmetrics2026

    Football analytics platform

80+ team metrics, live goal-timing maps, seven-day fixtures

Football analytics for people who want match context before kickoff. Team radars, momentum signals, pressing intensity and chance quality, home and away splits, rolling five-match form and Asian handicap performance — all read as dashboards at a glance instead of tables you have to decode.

    GizNewsDaily2026

    Daily technology news desk

A dozen hardware beats, publishing daily, phone-first throughout

A technology news site with the reading speed of a wire service: daily coverage of smartphones, laptops, gaming hardware, wearables, e-bikes, EVs and AI, structured so a trending story, a category feed and a full article sit one tap apart on a phone.

2,500+ silver and gold vermeil pieces, four currencies

An everyday jewellery brand built on one promise: comfortable enough to forget you are wearing it. Match Terminal2026

    Live scores and match predictions

Live scores, daily predictions and every tipster record tracked in public

A single-screen terminal for following football as it happens: today's fixtures with live scores and 1X2 predictions beside each match, then the tips themselves — 1X2, both teams to score, over/under, handicap — grouped by match with the odds on each. Every tipster's record is public and settled in units, so a profit curve, win rate and ROI sit next to the pick rather than behind it.

(03) Capabilities

Six disciplines, one team, no handoff.

We are not a collective of freelancers assembled per brief. The same six people take a project from positioning to the last accessibility fix — which is why nothing gets lost in translation between the idea and the build.

  • Creative direction

Positioning, art direction and the argument for why the thing should exist at all. We write the strategy deck, then we are still there when it ships.

    • Art direction
    • Naming & voice
    • Launch strategy
  • Motion systems

Not a reel of animations — a documented system of durations, curves and rules that your team can extend for years without it drifting.

    • Easing libraries
    • Choreography specs
    • Component motion
    • Motion documentation
  • Design engineering

The design is the code. We prototype in the browser from week one, because a curve you cannot feel at sixty frames a second is only a guess.

    • Production front-end
    • Design systems
    • Performance budgets
    • Framework migrations
  • Real-time graphics

GLSL, particle systems, generative identity. Used once per project, where it carries meaning — never as decoration to cover a thin idea.

    • Custom shaders
    • Generative identity
    • Procedural art direction
    • Data-driven visuals
  • Interaction craft

Cursors, gestures, scroll, sound and the hundred small responses that separate a site people use from a site people talk about.

    • Scroll choreography
    • Micro-interaction
    • Sound design
    • Haptics & input
  • Accessibility

Every build ships keyboard-complete, screen-reader tested, and with a reduced-motion version that is designed rather than merely switched off.

(04) Process

Nine to fifteen weeks, start to signed off.

  1. 01

    Calibrate

    1–2 weeks

We interrogate the brief until it says something specific. You leave with a written point of view, a scope, and the list of things we have agreed not to build.

  2. 02

    Plot

    2–3 weeks

Direction in the browser, not in a slide. Two routes, both real, both scrollable on your phone by the end of week one. You pick with your hands, not your imagination.

  3. 03

    Build

    5–9 weeks

Weekly builds on a live URL from day one. Motion, performance and accessibility are worked in parallel with layout, never bolted on at the end.

  4. 04

    Hand over

    1 week

Documented system, recorded walkthrough, and a month of us on call. Then it is yours — and it will still be exactly this fast a year from now.
